The Imperial-I Star Destroyer, often abbreviated ISD-I, is a Capital Ship buildable by the Galactic Empire, Pentastar Alignment, Greater Maldrood, Zsinj's Empire, and Eriadu Authority in Thrawn's Revenge. It is a formidable capital ship and a stalwart of the Imperial Fleet, being present in each Imperial Faction's roster, with such ubiquitous usage that it sees use by the Empire of the Hand, the Corporate Sector Authority, various pirates and mercenaries, and even saw use by the New Republic.
Unit Description[]
Iconic large and dangerous multirole capital vessel. It is durable, well-armed with a variety of weapons, speedy for its size, and capable of carrying a respectable amount of fighters. Receives a good benefit from supporting carriers and escorts and functions well in almost any fleet composition.

History[]
The ISD I began production during the end of the Clone Wars. As such, it soon became the mainstay of the newly formed Galactic Empire. These fearsome capital ships soon symbolized the Empire's naval might, even as Stormtroopers and AT-ATs would soon do in the military.
Upon the Emperor's death at the Battle of Endor, the Empire fractured. Many of the remaining ISD I's were either captured by the New Republic or destroyed by the infighting between breakaway Imperial Warlords. The ISD I remained in one form of service or another, whether commandeered ships by the New Republic or ships still commanded by the Imperial Remnant, throughout the resulting Imperial Civil War. As a testament to the class's competence in warfare, Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon commanded the ISD I Right to Rule during the Yuuzhan Vong War, some forty-eight years after the class had been commissioned.
Usage[]
The Imperial-I Star Destroyer is the standard capital ship used by all Imperial factions, including the Galactic Empire, Zsinj's Empire, Pentastar Alignment, Greater Maldrood, and Eriadu Authority. Every Imperial faction can build the ISD-I on any planet that has a Level 3 (Capital) or Level 4 (Dreadnought) Shipyard, and if built over a planet that hosts Kuat Drive Yards or the KDY Subsidiary structure, they can receive a 35% built cost/build time reduction.
Beginning in 4 ABY, the ISD-I one of the best capital ships available at the time. It has strong hull armor and shield strength and is quite fast for its size, and carries a fair amount of fighters as well, giving credence to its design as a battleship for the Empire.
It is quite well-armed, supporting two Dual Heavy Turbolasers, which fire two shots every 5.0 seconds with an effective range of 7.3km; one Triple Medium Turbolaser, which fires two shots every 1.67 seconds with an effective range of 6.3km; six Single Medium Turbolasers, which fire two shots every 1.0 seconds with an effective range of 6.3km; two Dual Heavy Ion Cannons, which fire two shots every 5.0 seconds with an effective range of 7.3km; six Single Medium Ion Cannons, which fire two shots every 1.0 seconds with an effective range of 6.3km; and two Dual Light Laser Cannons, which fire two shots every 0.5 seconds with an effective range of 3.8km.
