The Imperial Regimes that can be unlocked for any Imperial faction via the Legitimacy System
Legitimacy is a government mechanic shared between all Imperial factions: the Galactic Empire, Pentastar Alignment, Greater Maldrood, Eriadu Authority, and Zsinj's Empire. With the Emperor's death, the Empire splintered into multiple Warlord states, each competing amongst one another to prove themselves as the Empire's legitimate successor. Different factors impact the legitimacy level of each Imperial faction, which provides different bonuses. When a faction increases their legitimacy there is a chance that the heroes of a minor Warlord group will become recruitable from a faction's Political Options build bar. The ultimate goal of the Legitimacy system is to integrate the other major Warlord factions and become the Dark Empire.

Imperial Integration[]
When an Imperial faction is reduced to 3 planets or less (different per map), has no more Leaders or Heroes with the Warlord trait, and owns no Super Star Destroyers, their remaining planets and forces will join the most legitimate Imperial Faction remaining. This integration triggers after a planet loss, and occurs on the next cycle afterwards. Most Imperial Warlord factions offer further rewards for being integrated by another faction, such as buildable units or hero upgrades.

Dark Empire[]
In the dark center of the universe, the Omnipotent Battle Leader recovers his power and watchfully judges those who fight over the Empire's remains. His standards are high, and only Imperial factions that can cull the weak and cowardly pretenders will earn his favor. Once enough rivals are subdued and a faction has proven themselves in Legitimacy, the Reborn Emperor will offer your submission to him in exchange for access to his most devout legions and cutting-edge weaponry developed at his citadel.
Once an Imperial Faction has greater than 60% Legitimacy and has integrated two or more Imperial Warlord factions (integrating the Galactic Empire counts as two itself), the Reborn Emperor will approach the faction to form Dark Empire, granting that faction Palpatine's Regime, a host of new roster options, as well as three successor regimes to Palpatine's.

CompForce Assault Trooper Platoon | Assault Troopers are soldiers of CompForce, the military branch of COMPNOR, and are rabid zealots more loyal to the ideologies of the Empire over any officer or military institution. Assault Troopers are given priority in new gear and equipment, to the consternation of the Army, and undergo ferocious casualties in training that instill in them a willingness to fight on regardless of casualties. Tier 1 Legitimacy Groups[]
Tier 1 legitimacy groups are the most rare group that can be unlocked aside from Dark Empire, with each Imperial faction only being able to unlock one Tier 1 group in the Legitimacy System. The heroes in these groups all command Super Star Destroyers, giving all Imperial factions another opportunity to gain a Dreadnought unit in addition to a hero.

The Dark Apprentice through Vader's training has shed his attachment to Marek's connections and memories, feeling nothing but contempt for his template. When the Kamino cloning facilities were assaulted by an errant clone of Marek, Vader ordered his apprentice to watch the battle, and strike only if necessary. Vader would be captured, but the Dark Apprentice would wait patiently for the return of his master so he could fulfill his purpose and clash with the rival clone. Yet it would not come to pass. |
